Lexus RC F Hits the Big Easy
Driving anywhere around New Orleans seems like a questionable idea, since it means taking a break from the reason you’re going there in the first place: partying. Although judging from the video below, you might not think car critic Jason Harper took that necessary break.
In spite of the hard-partying nature of the town, Harper and his mates at Driving Pants Productions still decided it was time for the Lexus RC F to visit the Big Easy. Or perhaps they visited because of that nature. Regardless, as would seem proper, they rolled up to the French Quarter at five in the morning to get a few sultry shots of the car that’s “particularly well-suited” for the town, because it “would stay up all night and run hard all day.”
To test that theory, the crew sets off for a private race course, NOLA Motor Sports, which is just outside of the city, seemingly away from all the hot fun of Bourbon and Frenchman Streets. But the race track is where Harper really starts to enjoy himself.
I’m assuming Harper’s not completely twisted on absinthe, but you wouldn’t know it from all the hooting and hollering he lets out while getting the RC F sideways. I’ve honestly never seen a car reviewer have more fun, even while hanging out Bourbon Street.
