Lexus RC F Track Edition Hot Laps at Nurburgring (Fridays are for F Presented by Continental ExtremeContact DWS^{06 Plus})

2020 Lexus RC F Track Edition brings the heat in its natural habitat–and lays down great time. 

There are many reasons drivers are drawn to track-oriented rides. They have the looks and the power. But it is that performance that makes it undeniably superior. The Lexus RC F Track Edition is indeed one such machine. As one of the most aggressive rides in the F Performance lineup, the Lexus RC F Track Edition was built to burn rubber.

There is no place that the Lexus RC F is more at home than the track. We recently came across a 2020 RC F Track Edition that took on the noted and notorious Nürburgring circuit. And it slayed. This week, Fridays Are For F takes a look at the RC F Track Edition at home on the Green Hell.

Driver Julius Meinhardt took on the 12.6-mile German track in a time of 7:52.2. Meinhardt is not a pro, and that time is damn good by any measure. It puts the 2020 Lexus RC F in the same company as heavyweights such as Lamborghini Gallardo, BMW M4, and Porsche 911 Turbo Cabriolet.

Meinhardt was accompanied by Barry Huang, also in his Lexus RC F. Huang captures a lot of the action from his onboard camera. It is deeply satisfying to see the RC F Track Edition go full beast.

Key to its success is the 5.0-liter V8. With 472 horses, it can spring from 0 to 60 in 4-seconds. Hammer down, the RC F Track Edition is potent. Acceleration is smooth but turns out neck-breaking speed. Confident against all of the track’s challenges, as well as other cars; the Lexus demonstrates the F marque’s hardcore velocity and exemplary handling.

A beautifully built machine like the Lexus RC F is at its most jaw-dropping in this environment. Check out the video below to see the Lexus RC F Track Edition take on the Green Hell without breaking a sweat.
