Lexus SC300 Would Make a Great Project: Marketplace Find

Looking for a mechanically sound vintage Lexus SC? Here’s one that’s certainly worth its weight in maintenance costs!

We’ve all got our own personal favorite Lexus models. But we’re willing to bet that each one of you has some sort of soft spot for the SC300. The original sporty luxury coupe, of course, one that shared a platform with the legendary Toyota Supra. The good news is, these days, you can still find nice early Lexus SC300s for dirt cheap prices. Like this nicely sorted ’92 up for grabs in the Club Lexus Marketplace right now.

Perhaps the best thing about this Lexus is the fact that it’s 100% mechanically sound. The seller has gone to great lengths to ensure that it’s a reliable driver, and has provided an extensive list of all the work they’ve done to it over the years. And that all starts with brand new tires and a four-wheel alignment.

This Lexus also sports a new battery, timing belt, water pump kit, thermostat, and radiator. A complete tune up is next on the list, and it’s an extensive one. New spark plug wires and spark plugs, distributor cap and ignition rotor all went into the mix. You’ll also find brand new front rotors and ceramic pads, air filter, O2 sensors, knock sensor, and an ECU repair.

With all of that, this Lexus SC should be good to go for quite some time. Of course, like any old used car, it isn’t perfect. There are a couple of dents in the body, a broken odometer, and a misfire. But with an asking price of just over $2k, you won’t find a much better deal or a more sorted car than this.

And this nice coupe is just one example of the many fine parts and cars you’ll find in the brand new Club Lexus Marketplace. So be sure and check out all of the offerings currently up for grabs. And if you’ve got something of your own to sell, you won’t find a better place to do so than here!
