Lexus Shines a Light on 17 Years of RX Highlights
As Lexus enthusiasts, you probably are well aware of the many innovations the Lexus RX is responsible for, but it’s still fun to see them all in one place.
In case you forgot why the RX is still the SUV to beat, Lexus recently came out with a list called “Lexus RX: 17 Highlights From 17 Years at the Top.” And as you might expect, it’s packed with goodness.
The RX has paved the way, from effectively creating the luxury crossover segment, to improving NVH levels with the first active engine control mount, to adopting LED lighting way back in 2003, to adaptive front headlights, to the Nerual Network Control air-conditioning system, to the revolutionary hybrid technology offered in the RX 400h, to the fuel-efficient E-Four electronic four-wheel drive, to variable valve timing, to the noise dampening acoustic windscreen, to Lexus Hybrid Drive technology, to the body-roll reducing Active Stabiliser System, to the Remote Touch control system (which they’re still apparently proud of), to the adjustable cupholder in the latest gen RX, and beyond.
It’s a truly accomplished list, which speaks volumes as to why the RX remains so well-loved, 17 years later. All the highlights are explained in greater detail in the story, so check it out, then let us know what’s your favorite Lexus RX highlight.
