Lexus Shines Bright in March 2018 Sales
Among the good news, Lexus luxury utility vehicles (LUVS) mark best-ever first quarter.
Lexus was a major highlight of March 2018 sales reported by Toyota Motor North America (TMNA). With strong sales, product innovation, and upcoming releases, Lexus is looking at a strong year.
“Lexus turned in a solid first quarter with a nearly 4.0 percent sales increase year-over-year,” said Jeff Bracken, group vice president and general manager, Lexus division. “Our success was fueled by strong demand for our LUVs (Lexus luxury utility vehicles), like the compact NX and new three-row RXL, combined with the launch of our new flagship LS sedan.
Lexus posted March sales of 27,032 vehicles. Other positives include the Lexus division LUVs up 2.1 percent, a best-ever March, and the NX Hybrid also up 156.8 percent in March, also a best-ever March. The RX posted monthly sales of 9,814 units, and LX sales were up 3.1 percent. Lexus LS posted sales of 1,008 units, up 172.4 percent.
Bracken says, “And with even more products on the way, like the all-new UX that we just launched in New York, Lexus has great momentum heading into the rest of 2018.”
