Lexus Spain LC 500 Commercial Proves We’re All Speaking the Same Language
The beauty of this Lexus Spain LC 500 commercial is that you really don’t need to understand a lick of Spanish to get it.
Since I can’t do much more with my Spanish than order a cerveza, my reading of the commercial may not be exactly right. But all I really get from the Google translation of the video’s description is that the spot stars actress Mar Saura, who experiences “the sensations that produces power to drive a vehicle like the new Lexus LC 500…”
Which technically, was enough to get me to watch the video below:
So yeah, you get the gist: beautiful Mar does a little shopping, obviously enjoys fine luxury items, finally figures out her outfit, straps on some dangerously high heels, and walks seductively to a sultry red LC 500, that is inexplicably parked next to an F-18 fighter jet at the Torrejon airport near Madrid. A Spanish Air Force fighter pilot likes what he sees. And Mar likes what she sees, though not enough to stick around. So she jumps in her not-yet-released, 2+2 thoroughbred coupe. Steering wheel out, spoiler flap up… take off! The F-18 gives chase down the airstrip, and the two beautiful machines being piloted by two beautiful people jet off into the night.
Okay, hot girl, hot car, hot plane. We get it. But just because it’s an old formula, that doesn’t mean it doesn’t work. Especially when the car really does sound like a jet fighter, as you can hear in skullcollective‘s Instgram post below.
