Lexus Wins Big at 16th Annual Residual Value Awards
We just saw the 2016 RX honored by Kelley Blue Book for being one of their best buys of the year, and now the value awards are hitting some other deserving Lexus models too.
Lexus earned three top honors yesterday at the 16th Annual Residual Value Awards presented by ALG. The awards are handed out to the 2016 vehicles that ALG believes will retain the highest percentage of the vehicle’s MSRP after three years. The Lexus LS won the Premium Executive award, the Lexus IS won the Premium Midsize award, and the Lexus GX won the Premium Midsize Utility 3rd Row Seating award.
According to the press release, ALG is “the benchmark for forecasting future vehicle values and the analytics division of TrueCar, Inc.” So they obviously know what their talking about. Although if they really knew, they would have named Lexus the top Premium Brand instead of Land Rover.
Indeed, it was the Land Rover Range Rover that beat out the RX for this year’s Premium Fullsize Utility award. Which is a bit upsetting, but still, all in all, the results turned out pretty darn good for Lexus, and for its parent company too. Toyota tied Subaru, the overall winner of the Mainstream Brand award, with five segment wins.
