Lexus LFA

Shot by Instagrammer Adam Borstein, Club Lexus forum member’s Pearl Gray LFA glows under the warm Southern California sun.

Nearly a decade ago, Lexus produced one of the most amazing wonders of engineering ever to grace the road: the LFA. Only 500 were ever made, each wearing bodies of carbon fiber woven by special weaving looms. The company hired IndyCar legend Scott Pruett to offer U.S. customers test drives, and each 4.8-liter V10 was signed by the specialist to built it. Even today, one would be lucky to catch a glimpse of Lexus’s ultimate driving machine as it passed by.

Consider yourself and all of us lottery winners, then, as a Club Lexus forum member showed off his LFA in the forums recently, doing double-duty as an Instagram model.

“A friend took some nice shots of my LFA last week and I wanted to show you one,” wrote Club Lexus forum member napkin. His friend is Instagrammer and YouTuber Adam Borstein, a professional automotive photographer from Los Angeles whose work features all sorts of amazing rides.

Turns out the Pearl Gray LFA wasn’t Bornstein’s first to grace his lens. Just two years earlier, a silver example was shot in Newport Beach. In 2017, a white LFA was caught by Bornstein in traffic on I-5. The carbon-fiber wonder has been a part of his life since capturing his first in 2015; his Instagram was opened in 2013, just a year after the last LFA left production.

As for the forums, though, Bornstein managed to capture two of our members’ LFAs. The aptly named LFA4Life took the photographer for a ride in his Pearl Gray LFA at the Circuit of the Americas near Austin, Texas in mid-December 2016. Bornstein said of the adventure that his “first time in the LFA was nuts,” and that the car “is really something special.”

If you’d like to check out everything Bornstein’s shot, hit up his Instagram. You can also see him dip his toes into videography on his YouTube. And, of course, if you want to see more LFAs and other awesome Lexuses from our members, come on over to the Club Lexus Forums today!
