Lexus LX570

Australians who buy into an LX570 can opt for the Encore Platinum package, allowing them to experience the best Lexus rides around.

There are many things Lexus gets right. Luxury is a given, of course. Performance, too, easily comes to mind. Even utility stands above the rest, especially with the LX570. Based on the ultra-rugged Toyota Land Cruiser, the big Lexus rolls through it all with plenty of room for your gear and your family. It may not see the toughest paths like the Land Cruiser, but it’s good to know it can handle such things.

So, what could make the LX570 better? How about access to all of the top-tier Lexuses? Chasing Cars host Tom Baker reviewed the big dog recently, which now comes with the brand’s new Encore Platinum package. Let’s see what Australians get with their luxury SUV, shall we?

Platinum Isn’t Just for Catalytic Converters

“You’ll be able to drive an LX570 if you buy one — obviously — or if you buy any of Lexus’s other flagship products,” Baker said. “Lexus are introducing here in Australia for the first time a new program called Encore Platinum that basically lets you buy any of this brand’s top-spec cars […] [and] will basically let you dab in and out of the other cars in Lexus’s range for a number of bookings up to eight days in length over the first three years of your ownership.”

The Encore Platinum comes standard on all LX, LC, LS, RCF and GSF models. According to Practical Motoring, members can book RX, RCF, GSF, LX, LC and LS models up to four times during the three-year period. Members also get complimentary valet service, detailing, service loaner, and more. It’s good to be an Australian Lexus fan, to say the least.
