Having lived in Seattle for the last couple of years, I can tell you first hand there are far too many bullets flying around. Unfortunately, those bullets continue to fly. Fortunately, in this case, no one was hurt.

Although this former-survivor Lexus can’t say the same.

Allegedly, a 21-year-old man used his new used Lexus in a drive-by shooting attempt through a busy neighborhood just after 8:30 on Tuesday night. Neighbors apparently heard 16 shots fired at an unknown target, none of which found their mark.

Police responded and pursued the vehicle, with the chase ending after the driver crashed the Lexus into a wall about a mile away from the shooting incident. The man fled on foot, but was “subdued” by a K-9 officer, according to KIRO7 news.

As you can see in the report below, the suspect’s mom showed up at the scene and was interviewed by a local reporter. She explained that her son had just received the Lexus the day before, as a gift for his “efforts” in school.

Looks like he’s still got quite a bit of learning to do.
