Mint LC 500 Ready for the Museum… Or Your Next Adventure
Part of late owner’s collection, 2018 LC 500 among final 45 lots from owner’s estate heading to Mecum Kissimmee 2022 early January.
Whenever a low-mile Lexus comes up for sale, more likely than not is it an LFA. Sometimes, though, other cars turn up for sale in a similar situation as Nagoya’s ultimate halo car.
One such example is this 2018 LC 500 going down to Kissimmee, Florida for Mecum’s red-carpet party January 6 through 15, 2022. The reason this LC has the mileage it has is due to its late owner’s philosophy.
Jerry “JGB” Brewis collected quite a few cars in his lifetime, beginning with a 1957 Corvette he would drive sparingly, knowing one day it’d be worth something. From there, his collection grew to 170. Corvettes made up a good bit of the collection, of course. However, Brewis also collected customs and exotics, all with low or zero miles on the odometer. Thus, the LC 500.
The 5.0-liter V8’s 471 horses are well-rested, to say the least. Total mileage on the odometer, thanks to Brewis’s philosophy, is 12 miles. Yet, like all of his cars, this one’s been well-maintained; thus, the next owner will have little to worry about down at Mecum’s red carpet extravaganza under the warm Florida sun.
Behind the big V8, the LC 500’s interior is as immaculate as the day it left the showroom. The rear seat belts wear custom padding for anyone brave (or small) enough to ride in the back. Above it all, a carbon fiber roof protects the occupants from the elements, and adds a touch of cool to an already cool ride. And we can’t forget the seats themselves, draped in white leather with black leather trim. The white leather makes the doors pop, too, shining a light against the rest of the blackened cabin.
The LC 500 is among the final 45 cars from Brewis’s collection set to go down Mecum’s red carpet. The LC is also the only Lexus in the group. Thus, it’ll stand out among the Corvettes and other exotics joining it in Florida in January. It may not go for LFA money, but the low miles will likely be in this red beauty’s favor.
