Have You Modded Your Lexus for Halloween Yet?
Customizing comes in all shapes and sizes, but I’ve never seen this many scary mods outside of a Jeep forum.
But don’t worry, we’re not featuring blasphemous tricked-out Lexi here today, folks. These mods are scary for an entirely different, far-more acceptable reason: Halloween!
Club Lexus member leek recently started up a “Halloween mod” thread by posting the pic above, showing of his IS 250’s newest enhancement, just in time for October. Apparently, this type of modding is an annual tradition for leek.
Of course, our lively community wasn’t going to let one lone member have all the un-dead fun. So folks have been showing off their Halloween mods enthusiastically, some of which are shown in the gallery below.
Since the forum is a hotbed of shared knowledge, there’s also a few things to learn from the thread, when it comes to Halloween modding. For one, IntegresS offers up a brief DIY how-to instruction guide. Secondly, don mentions the following: “Caution with the hands and feet! They may scrape the car when driving hard (it sways and bounces). I put a little painters tape on the rough edges and made sure it laid on top of that Lexus bumper applique thing.”
And thirdly, another warning: Istarzan‘s buddy did a similar body-part-hanging-from-the-trunk thing, and he got the cops called on him. So if you’re going with that Halloween mod, be sure to clear the trunk of any real dead bodies first.
