New 2020 LS 500 Inspiration Series Sedan is Perfection Personified
Limited-edition 2020 LS 500 first to wear Deep Garnet paint, has a white-and-black interior with Kiriko glass that’ll make you the envy of your local Cars & Coffee.
Every car and SUV Lexus builds is already inspiring in their own right. From the high quality found in the entry-level ES, to the high-spirited performance of the LC 500, there’s no wrong way to enjoy the Lexus life.
And it’s not about to change now. The LS 500 is the fourth and latest addition to Lexus’ Inspiration Series, and is the first sedan to receive the limited-edition treatment. Let’s see what Lexus has done to make the LS 500 truly inspirational.
For starters, the LS 500 Inspiration Series is not only the first sedan to join the club, it’s also the first to wear an exclusive Deep Garnet paint color. The deep metallic red glitters in the sun like the namesake gemstone, and is accented by a set of 20-inch wheels in Black Vapor Chrome, which is not only the name of our new band, but is as magical in the daylight as the rest of the car.
The magic doesn’t stop on the outside of the LS 500 Inspiration Series, either. Inside, the luxury is cranked to 11 with white leather all over the seats, console, and door panels. The rest is not just black, but also bejeweled thanks to the extensive use of Kiriko glass panels on the doors, a feature originally only found in the Executive Package. A Mark Levinson stereo system, blue LED interior lighting, and ‘Lexus’ puddle lamps that pop on when each door is opened round out the rest of the inspirational touches.
In front of all of that white leather and Kiriko glass luxury is the LS 500’s twin-turbo 3.5-liter V6, delivering 416 horsepower and 442 lb-ft of torque to the rears or all corners with the optional all-wheel drive system with Torsen limited-slip diff. The rear-drive standard variant is capable of reaching 60 mph in 4.6 seconds, which makes for quite the inspirational drive down the road.
Like the others in the Inspiration Series, the LS 500 model will be a limited affair, with just 300 available for purchase in the United States. Pricing will be announced closer to the release date, but we expect it to be a pretty penny above and beyond the $75,000 base price of a regular LS 500.
