New Lexus Models Coming To Auto Shanghai 2013
Lexus China will partake in the Auto Shanghai 2013 in China starting this Saturday April 20, 2013 at the Shanghai New International Expo Center. Lexus plans to introduce three new models including the LF-CC Hybrid Concept, the all-new 2014 Lexus IS and the “Global premier of an all-new hybrid model”. Perhaps this is the official debut of the GS 300h.
The official release doesn’t elaborate on the details of the new hybrid model but our guess is that a high efficiency GS hybrid may finally surface. Rumors have been floating for some time about the addition of the 2AR-FSE Atkinson Cycle 2.5L 4 cylinder hybrid powerplant in the 4th generation GS. This new hybrid engine is shared with the new Toyota Crown Hybrid and the 2014 Lexus IS 300h. ARL10 is the reported chassis code for this new GS model. We’ll have to wait and see what will be unveiled this weekend.
