The RX is a huge deal for Lexus, considering it’s the bread and butter for the Japanese luxury brand. Now that the new one has been announced, we’re slowing getting more details about the little things pertaining to the vehicle. Below, we have a video of a prototype being driven, and the cool new rear turn signals in action.

The turn signals employ something that Audi just recently started doing in Europe: flowing turn signals. Instead of just blinking like a normal turn signal, or operating sequentially like on the Mustang, the RX’s signals seem to flow from the inside out, depending on which direction the car is indicating.

These turn signals will surely see production on the European and Japanese spec versions of the RX, but it’s unclear at this point if they’ll make it to production in the United States. Our archaic lighting laws prevent us from getting a lot of the cooler (and safer) lighting technology that the rest of the world sees.

This cool indicator will help the RX stand out even more in a crowd, and it sure is a nice touch.
