With over 30 years in the paint booth, Lexus definitely knows what looks good on their cars, including these 10 shades we love the most!
Once upon a time, Lexus arrived with a pair of cars. The ES brought in those testing the waters of luxury, the LS attracted those tired of the Teutonic template. Each had its own palette of colors to show off their lines.
Since then, Nagoya’s built an entire gallery of masterpieces. With each new canvas, new paints entered the picture, too. Here are our 10 favorite shades ever applied to a given Lexus model.
Black Onyx
Black cars equal luxury and importance. Thus, it only made sense for Lexus to have black in its paintbox since the beginning. Black Onyx first arrived in 2001 as a blue-black, then returned as the blackest black around in 2016. As this LX Inspiration shows, always bet on black for serious business.
Cameron Aubernon's path to automotive journalism began in the early New '10s. Back then, a friend of hers thought she was an independent fashion blogger.
Aubernon wasn't, so she became one, covering fashion in her own way for the next few years.
From there, she's written for: Louisville.com/Louisville Magazine, Insider Louisville, The Voice-Tribune/The Voice, TOPS Louisville, Jeffersontown Magazine, Dispatches Europe, The Truth About Cars, Automotive News, Yahoo Autos, RideApart, Hagerty, and Street Trucks.
Aubernon also served as the editor-in-chief of a short-lived online society publication in Louisville, Kentucky, interned at the city's NPR affiliate, WFPL-FM, and was the de facto publicist-in-residence for a communal art space near the University of Louisville.
Where do you go for answers when you have a Lexus with a gorgeous leather interior but are not sure about how to maintain that luxurious look? The "Club Lexus" forums, of course.
