Our 5 Favorite Lexus Factory One-offs Ever
As if any Lexus weren’t already a cut above, Nagoya delivers and then some on our five favorite one-offs straight from the factory.
Back in 1989, a powerful geomagnetic storm knocked out power throughout Quebec. Beijing’s Tiananmen Square erupts all over the world’s TV screens. David Hasselhoff rocks the Berlin Wall as it tumbles down. And, of course, Lexus debuted with a small lineup at the Detroit Auto Show.
Since then, the brand’s grown to include several models for every activity. They’ve also made a few awesome one-offs along the way. Here are our five favorite Lexus one-offs to ever hit the road.
2021 LC 500 Convertible Inspiration Series No. 1
The new LC 500 Convertible itself isn’t a one-off, nor is the Inspiration Series version (only 100 of those will be built, though). However, this example is the only one of its kind. Built for the Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale 2020 auction earlier this year, the Lexus will be the only one to wear Structural Blue, paired with white semi-aniline leather, along with blue brake calipers and Liquid Diamond accents. This special car lives with Colorado Lexus dealer Kent Stevenson, who paid $2 million for the honor of owning the first-ever LC 500 Convertible.
