Owner’s Discover the Most Interesting Things About the 2016 Lexus RX
One of the best things about Club Lexus is just how helpful this site really is. But while the How-To section offers never-ending DIY insight into Lexus models old and new, perhaps the most helpful parts of the site are the owner-generated “Interesting Discoveries” threads.
Take for example, “NX Interesting Discoveries Thread (Good or Bad),” which corradoMR2 started back on the last day of 2014. So far it’s bloated to 41-pages of interesting, firsthand knowledge of the ins and outs of the new Lexus model.
In that same spirit of helpfulness, and even with a hat tip to corrado, DavoMS started an “Interesting Discoveries” thread for the new generation, 2016 RX. And now that it’s ballooned to a sizeable 16-pages, we thought we’d go ahead and highlight a few of the more interesting findings:
Learned from a Toyoda Gosei booth in 2015 Tokyo Motorshow. The 16′ RX front grille has a new plating variation with platinum finish instead of the usual chrome finish. — AndyL
Door handles have 2 LEDs, the one on top is a LED line that lights up. the bottom LED light just contain 1 LED blub. Very nice touch! —hon3kong
The opening height of liftgate can be user defined. In my case I let it open until the desired height and pressed the auto close button once and it stops. Then I press and hold the same button down for a few seconds and it will beep a few times. Now when I open/close it will always stop at the height I defined. This is really useful if you’re worried about it hitting your garage door. — EXP_Cougar
This is just a brief smattering of the helpful hints found within; there’s plenty more discovering to be done. And by all means, if you’ve found something interesting about the latest generation RX, or if you have something you can’t figure out, chime in. That’s what the thread is there for.
