After five years of ownership, Richard K offers a long-term owner’s review of his modified 2018 Lexus LC 500 with this great YouTube video.

The Lexus LC 500 has been stirring up quite a lot of excitement lately. Last month, we discussed the all-new Hokkaido Edition of the nameplate, which derives its inspiration and moniker from Japan’s Hokkaido island. More recently, one of our very own ClubLexus forum members, guanche2k9, shared a review of his modified 2018 Lexus LC 500 in a detailed video currently up on his official YouTube channel, Rich With Cars. (Also posted below)

Richard K is a Florida resident who’s also the proud owner of a customized LC 500. The beautiful GT car has been under Rich’s ownership for almost half a decade. The car we have here sports a slew of upgrades that include elaborate and subtle design tweaks. The signature spindle grille of the LC 500 now flaunts Gloss black surrounds. The grille sits atop a Novel Racing front lip spoiler.

The bodywork of this particular LC 500 flaunts a breath-taking Nightfall Mica tri-coat paint job. The car now rides on a set of beautiful 21-inch BG Forged wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires. Richard also discusses design elements of his Lexus LC 500 that appeal to him.

Under the hood of Richard’s modified 2018 Lexus LC 500, we find a 5-liter V8 powertrain.

“It’s got a coke bottle shape sort of design which really gives it a lot of character and its intention in terms of the rear haunches over here,” explains Richard. He further adds, “we see that the lines on the LC on the side are very, very clean. It’s got a fastback sort of design, as you can see, GT car style.”

A set of side skirts dominate the profile of this 2018 Lexus LC 500, which are also Novel Racing units. The 2UR-GSE motor could churn out 471 HP of maximum power and 398 lb-ft of peak torque in its factory tune. The powerplant hooks up to a 10-speed Direct shift transmission which allows the LC 500 to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.4 seconds.

“Unfortunately, because I did drop the suspension and I put the lip kit, it is very difficult to drive on a daily basis just because it’s because of the actual ground clearance. Now in terms of comfort, it’s a great comfortable vehicle to drive, but at the same time, when you want it to be aggressive, it can be.”
