Performance Exhaust Gives Lexus RC F Thunderous Growl (Fridays are for F Presented by Continental ExtremeContact DWS06 Plus)

2015 Lexus RC F

When a 2015 Lexus RC F gets the right performance exhaust system; it rides smoother, gains power and a beastly V8 symphony.

Since its debut in 2015, the Lexus RC F has gained a reputation as a smooth sports coupe with aggressive V8 power. During the RC F’s creation, Lexus was inspired by the IS F V8 and the LFA V10. Yeah, they went for the big guns. Under the hood, the 5.0-liter V8 had all-new cylinder heads, cams, higher compression, and lighter internal parts. As the high-performance variant of the RC, the RC F uses the V8 potently, delivering power and ponies. As a performance coupe, the 2015 Lexus RC F is pretty flawless. But with so many aftermarket options available, it is easier to modify and customize the Lexus RC F. Installing a performance exhaust system is one sure-fire way to see immediate gains. In that spirit, we will be looking at a stock ’15 Lexus RC F before and after upgrading to a hi-po exhaust system.

The results are eye-opening … and a sonic boom of V8 oomph. This week’s Friday’s are for F focuses on the RC F performance before and after exhaust modifications.

Oscar Fenn 2015 Lexus RCF

Oscar Fenn purchased his 2015 Lexus RC F about one year ago; his dream car for years. Once he had it in his garage naturally there were a few changes he wanted to make. He added carbon fiber side mirror caps, a carbon fiber spoiler, and carbon fiber wrapped roof.

However, Fenn wanted to focus on performance. Fenn chose to work with GT Haus, a tuner and global distributor of Meisterschaft, American Roar Racing, and JDM-focused MUSA Performance Exhaust Systems. Fenn chose GT Haus’ custom MUSA Lexus exhaust, and mid-pipe. That pipe houses the velocity chamber to increase the flow of exhaust gases.

The difference in exhaust note is night and day. Literally.

Fenn posted the before and after videos posted on his YouTube and Instagram accounts. First, we get to hear the stock Lexus RC F start up, and then we get some rich rumbling and menace as he revs with the GT Haus exhaust installed, and valves closed.

Then we get more revs with the valves open. This is the kind of finely tuned performance exhaust that was created thoughtfully for the Lexus. Mainly because–my oh my–the RC F is strong, delicious and determined.

And then we see the RC F hit the road. We don’t know the specs, but an exhaust system like this can see gains of about 50 horses and 20 lb-ft of torque. Clearly, this Lexus RC F is fast, powerful, and sounds like heaven.

With GTC (EV controlled) rear mufflers, LSR pipe, and exhaust tips; the look is seamless and the ride is smooth and purposeful. You can feel the Lexus coming down the road before you even see it. When sight and sound merge; it is Lexus performance at its finest.

Cars like the Lexus RC F are pretty major machines straight out of the factory. But when tuners and techs upgrade the exhaust system perfectly. GT Haus has a system that coaxes out power, and runs the engine smoother. Onboard camera also shows how the muscle-car V8 grunt does not seem into the still chill cabin.

Enjoy the video, and velocity that you can hear, see, and feel down your spine.
