Say Hello to the Lexus RC F GT3

Well, we’re still not sure when the Lexus RC F GT3 will make its official racing debut, but now we at least get to see the rocket ship in action.

That’s thanks to the Lexus Golden Opportunity Sales Event commercial below, titled “Just the Right Amount of F.” The spot highlights the fact that what Lexus learned on the racetrack is most definitely being implemented in a similarly revved-up fashion for the street-legal cars. Which, are conveniently on sale this weekend.

Perhaps with a bit of a wink at American muscle, the RC F GT3 rumbles through downtown Detroit, setting car alarms off with each passing rev. Then the golden-throated pitchman coolly let us know that “What [Lexus] learns on the track, doesn’t stay on the track; it just finds a more street-legal form.”

Then the spot flashes away from the GT3 and onto the F Sport performance vehicles that are on sale. And while those cars are definitely heart-pumpers, they’re kind of overshadowed by the true star of the ad: the RC F GT3.

The commercial was filmed back in May, when F Performance Racing’s RC F GT3 was still expected to make its track debut at Belle Isle. Unfortunately, they had to drop out because the car still needed further R&D. Hopefully, we’ll really be able to see the star shine in its natural habitat soon though. For now, enjoy the launch!
