Vasser Sullivan No. 14 Lexus RC F GT3

Filled with over nine minutes of Lexus glory, SchwaaFilms captures every triumph and heartbreak at the 2021 Petit Le Mans.

In just a few days, the 2022 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season kicks off with one of the crown jewels of endurance racing, the Rolex 24 at Daytona. For Lexus fans, this means the return of Vasser Sullivan and their pair of RC F GT3s. One of them – the No. 14 – will run in the new GTD Pro category against Corvette Racing, BMW M Team RLL and Pfaff Motorsports. The No. 12, meanwhile, will hold it down against the wide assortment of GT3s in GTD.

Before the green flag drops on the afternoon of January 29, though, SchwaaFilms takes us back to the 2021 Petit Le Mans at Road Atlanta, the final race in the 2021 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season.

Lexus at Road Atlanta

“The Lexus Racing USA team had been on a tear during the course of the race season this year” SchwaaFilms writes in the video’s description. “We came down to document the events throughout the week with Mike from 4Sythe Group, which included dinners with Lexus executives, meet & greets, ride alongs, and many other fun activities.”

No dialogue is necessary in this nine-minute film. Not when there are plenty of Lexuses doing all of the talking. From brief shots of IS 350s pulling into the lot for a dinner at a hip Atlanta hot spot, to the black-and-green RC F GT3s of Vasser Sullivan preparing for the 10-hour finale at Road Atlanta, there’s so much take in. And that’s only in the first four minutes.

Vasser Sullivan No. 12 Lexus RC F GT3 Team

“The Lexus Racing team had been in 1st place for a good portion of the race until an accident happened on one of the main turns of the course (not caused by Lexus), knocking that main car out of the running,” writes SchwaaFilms. “However, Lexus prevailed and was able to take podium in 3rd place to end in the season in extremely good spirits.”

Throughout the entire film, the love for the Lexus brand and its products shines ever so bright. We guarantee this will be the best nine minutes of your day.
