Eliaser Vasquez’s 2014 IS 350 F Sport boasts custom paint, Airlift management, Vossen x Work wheels, and an RR Racing tune!

The second-gen Lexus IS introduced the world to both the IS F and IS 250/350 F Sport. For those wanting the best times on the track, the IS F’s 5.0-liter V8 could get the job done. Meanwhile, the F Sport models brought a ton of performance and style without going all-in on the big power.

The IS F Sport is also a perfect foundation for some killer builds. Recently, we happened upon such a build on Instagram, a 2014 IS 350 F Sport owned by Eliaser Vasquez (fsport_chel on Instagram) of Castroville, California. We spoke to him via email to learn more about his Lexus.

“I purchased my Lexus back in November of 2018,” said Vasquez. “As soon as I got the car, I started modding it. I was inspired by a picture I saw on Instagram of a 2nd generation Lexus. It was also orange with black accents, so my whole vision for this car was to paint it orange with black accents and yellow calipers.”

The bagged IS 350 F Sport gets low with the help of Airforce air bags with Airlift management. A full set of 19-inch Vossen x Work wheels connect the Lexus to the road, while a tune from RR Racing brings all the power to the yard. Meanwhile, the orange paint and bodywork were handled by Works Auto Body in Salinas, then color-corrected, detailed and ceramic-coated by Optimized Detailing, also in Salinas.

“Horsepower-wise, I’m not sure where it’s at,” said Vasquez. “I have not dyno’d the car yet, but I love how the car runs. Even with all these mods, the car still drives amazing.”

Though he hasn’t tracked his IS 350 F Sport yet, his goal for 2021 is to do so. Luckily, Vasquez is 15 minutes away from Laguna Seca. Thus, it won’t be long until the Lexus turns a few laps. That said, he brought his build to the Streetlow Magazine show in Salinas, as well as the Misofresh & Co. Low Times show in Watsonville.

As for advice to other Lexus owners looking to build their cars like his IS 350 F Sport, Vasquez has this to say:

“Stay motivated. Build your dreams. Always be humble. Build your car to your liking.”
