Speeding, Unmarked Police Car Pushes Lexus IS Out of Its Lane in Shocking Scene
What appears to be an undercover police officer got seriously aggressive with this Lexus IS driver that wasn’t able to move over.
For the most part, police are here to serve and protect, springing into action when we need a helping hand, while also upholding the law and ensuring that bad guys are taken off the streets and punished accordingly. However, as is the case with every group of people out there, there are also some police that don’t do things the right way, and oftentimes, even abuse their authority. That certainly seemed to be the case in Midrand, South Africa recently, where a speeding undercover police Volkswagen GTI weaved through traffic in a rather dangerous manner, harassing a Lexus IS driver in the process.
The whole thing was caught on film by a Twitter user named ///M-Bouy, giving us a front row seat to this particular act of aggressive driving. We get to see the VW speed up behind the car equipped with a camera and blast right past it, lights ablaze, at speeds of up to 120 km/h, or around 75 mph on the M39. It’s easy to assume that the officer was heading to a call, which somewhat excuses their haste, but they were also dealing with some pretty heavy traffic here, making it difficult for some drivers to get out of the way.
As such, the person driving the high-performance hatch was apparently pretty impatient and began engaging in even riskier behavior, coming very close to rear-ending a Mercedes-Benz C-Class before getting stuck next to a Lexus IS, which was – at that moment – unable to go anywhere as it was surrounded by other vehicles. Rather than simply continuing forward once those other cars moved out of the way, the VW driver instead pushes over into the Lexus’ lane, forcing it to move over a touch, which seems a bit silly and unnecessary.
Eh WTF💀 Who’s at fault here? pic.twitter.com/CcopsWA2FS

While the Lexus IS driver had the opportunity to move over, the VW driver also didn’t need to waste time harassing them for not doing so, particularly if they were indeed on their way to an important call. However, many in the comments also question the validity of this undercover police car as well – sure, it has a blue light, but there’s no other way to tell if it is indeed a legit law enforcement vehicle and not just someone using that light illegally to get through traffic. With any luck, whatever the case might be, perhaps real law enforcement can figure out what happened here and rectify the situation.
