Speaking of, we happened upon a 2009 IS F in Starfire Pearl in the marketplace recently residing deep in the heart of Texas. Let’s see what this ride’s all about!
“Asking $23,500, third owner,” writes Fondue. “Bought certified from Lexus, and have owned for the last nine years. Clean Carfax, and I have title in hand.”
Between the three owners, this IS F’s logged just over 100,000 miles after a decade on the road.
The current owner says he modified the sedan two years ago, focusing on improved handling. The Lexus rides on BC Racing coilovers with matching forged 19-inch wheels. Each wheel is shod in Michelin Pilot Sport 4s, which have covered just over 100 miles thus far.
And how does the IS F ride? The seller says he’s set it “to feel pretty close to stock in terms of comfort.” He adds that it “handles really flat now though around turns,” and that “the bushings fixed the inner tire wear on the front and no more pulling to the right.” In short, it “tracks straight.”
It also sounds good doing it. The seller performed the secondary cat/muffler-delete on the Lexus to open things up. However, for those who’d rather keep it quiet, he kept everything to restore the silence.
The Texas-based seller is asking $23,500 or best offer for this IS F. He’ll consider selling it for $21,000 if the buyer doesn’t want the aftermarket wheels and steering wheel. The car’s been maintained by his local Lexus dealership, including a new radiator installed a year ago.
