The Already Excellent LC 500 Lineup Cruises Into 2025 With Minimal Changes
A new color, and additional front and rear underfloor braces highlight the changes in the 2025 LC 500 lineup, which lives on for at leat one more year.
The 2025 LC 500 Coupe and Convertible models receive only minor tweaks across the lineup for the new model year. And that is nothing to be disappointed about. The LC 500 models already stand out as some of the best cars on sale today. Sweeping changes were not required. And while there may not be any headline-grabbing update such as Lexus announcing an LC 500F model with 600 horsepower there is some good news here. The first bit is that Lexus is still going to offer the LC 500 at all. As brilliant as it is, the car is not selling well, and a naturally aspirated V8-powered 2-seater (the back seats are just suggestions) is quickly becoming a thing of the past. The other good news is that Lexus has kept the prices in check with only a slight increase for 2025.
Now, let’s get into what is new.
For both the coupe and convertible models, Iridium will be a new exterior color offered for 2025. If you order an LC 500h with Sport Package a new carbon fiber scuff plate is available. The most significant change in the LC 500 lineup is on the coupe models. All coupe variants will receive additional front and rear underfloor braces for increased rigidity. For the LC 500 convertible models, red and blue soft tops become standalone options with Bespoke Build package. Outside of these changes, the 2025 LC 500 lineup is basically the same as the 2024 LC 500 lineup. And that is fine with us.
2025 LC 500 Pricing
Putting a new LC 500 in your garage has never been inexpensive. It has the second most expensive starting price in the entire Lexus lineup. Only the LS Hybrid has a higher starting MSRP. But the LC 500 is worth it, and the 2025 models are not much more than what the 2024 models cost. Below is a price comparison between model years. Worth It
A quick reminder why the LC 500 is worthy of its six-figure price tag. First and foremost is the 5.0L naturally aspirated V8 that puts out 471 horsepower and 398 pound-feet of torque. We understand the appeal of saving fuel with the LC 500h but trust us, you want the V8. It is far more powerful, and it sounds glorious while it is making that power. Both the V8 and Hybrid V6 live in a beautifully sculpted body. 2025 will mark the eighth model year for the LC 500 coupe. That is a long time without a major styling refresh, yet the car still looks fresh and exciting. The cars are loaded with safety and tech features such as Lexus Safety System+ 2.5 and Lexus Interface.
The 2025 LC 500 models will be going on sale this fall and we say this every time we write about the LC 500, but don’t wait to get yours.
