Back in 2011, a mysterious new club racer appeared in the Lexus catalog: the IS F CCS-R. No one knew what this car’s purpose was for at the time, aside from tearing up the track. One example, piloted by Ken Gushi, went to the top of the world at the Pikes Peak Hill Climb in 2012 and 2013, taking second and first respectively. The IS F was later revealed to be the R&D mule for the RC F Carbon.
Cameron Aubernon's path to automotive journalism began in the early New '10s. Back then, a friend of hers thought she was an independent fashion blogger.
Aubernon wasn't, so she became one, covering fashion in her own way for the next few years.
From there, she's written for: Louisville.com/Louisville Magazine, Insider Louisville, The Voice-Tribune/The Voice, TOPS Louisville, Jeffersontown Magazine, Dispatches Europe, The Truth About Cars, Automotive News, Yahoo Autos, RideApart, Hagerty, and Street Trucks.
Aubernon also served as the editor-in-chief of a short-lived online society publication in Louisville, Kentucky, interned at the city's NPR affiliate, WFPL-FM, and was the de facto publicist-in-residence for a communal art space near the University of Louisville.
Where do you go for answers when you have a Lexus with a gorgeous leather interior but are not sure about how to maintain that luxurious look? The "Club Lexus" forums, of course.
