This 2005 Lexus LS 430 VIP Car Has No Use for ‘Understated’
If you appreciate the Lexus LS for its understated elegance, then you may want to look away. Because Preston Ader’s 2005 LS 430 VIP car is anything but understated.
Unique is a word that comes to mind. Or perhaps gaudy. But regardless of your thoughts on this one, you have to appreciate a man who puts so much effort into making a vehicle all his own. Right?
Ader got into the VIP cars scene after seeing some of the work being done by his fellow Hawaiians. From there, he started researching the Japanese VIP originators and being inspired by their work. Indeed, his goal behind this build was to “take the VIP scene on the islands to another level,” as he expressed to Super Street Online in a recent interview.
The build took Ader a good solid year of effort. And you can certainly see where the time was spent, what with the custom fab widebody, custom engine covers, seamless specialty suspension tank, stitched diamond pattern upholstery, and the straight-out-of-Studio-54 custom trunk setup.
