Lexus LX470

This Lexus LX470 and its V8 powerplant can tackle even the most challenging terrains with its Ironman 4X4 lift kit and aftermarket steel bumpers.

The all-new 2023 Toyota Sequoia recently made its global debut to much fanfare, which is not surprising considering that we’ve been waiting for an update since 2007. Nevertheless, suppose you’re in the market for a luxurious yet reliable off-roader but can’t wait for the new Sequoia to hit the dealerships later this summer. In that case, you might want to consider this breathtaking 2006 Lexus LX470.

The off-roader is up for sale on the popular auction site Bring a Trailer, and the highest bid currently stands at $17,500. The truck comes with a clean Florida title and CarFax report and only has 127K miles on the odometer. The SUV was substantially modified after the seller bought this nearly pristine LX470 in 2016.

At the rear, we find a Slee steel bumper with a spare tire carrier. Furthermore, an Ironman steel bumper with a Warn XD9000 winch dominates the front-end of the SUV. Lastly, a Front Runner Slim Line roof rack is also part of this off-road-ready LX470 ensemble.

The bodywork of the SUV sports a beautiful Crystal White Paint job.

The interiors of the LX470 remain largely unmodified. Inside the cabin, we find creature comforts like automatic climate control, rearview camera, power-adjustable heated front seats, and much more. The cabin also gets a secondary power system set up to power a refrigerator.

The SUV gets a 4X4 lift kit and an Ironman product and replaces the original Active Height Control suspension. The truck rides on a set of 5-spoke 18-inch rims wrapped In 275/70 BFGoodrich KO2 tires. Under the hood, we find a 4.7-liter V8 motor, which now also powers an onboard ARB air compressor. This powerplant was good for 275 HP of maximum power and 332 lb-ft of peak torque in its factory tune.

A five-speed automatic gearbox sends power to all four corners with the help of a dual-range transfer case. The stopping power comes from a ventilated disc brake setup. In addition to a locking central differential, this 2006 Lexus LX470 also gets a Slee differential drop kit.
