This 47-Mile Lexus LFA Is Still in the Wrapper – Literally

47-Mile Lexus LFA Whitest White

Stored in a climate-controlled garage since new, this quite rare Whitest White Lexus LFA is still essentially brand new.

Following years of being largely unappreciated by collectors, the mighty Lexus LFA has been on a bit of a hot streak lately, with its values rightfully soaring. Though it took arguably too long, the LFA has finally earned its place among the greatest supercars built in the modern era, a car with a screaming V10, exotic looks, and of course, the rarity to back up its rising value. However, those seeking an essentially “new” Lexus LFA won’t find one much closer to factory fresh than this example, which is set to cross the block at RM Sotheby’s upcoming Monterey auction, taking place August 17-19.

With just 47 miles on the clock, this Lexus LFA certainly hasn’t been driven much over the past decade-plus, but that isn’t even the most impressive thing about it. Rather, this might just be the first one we’ve seen in ages that still has its delivery wrapping present on both the steering wheel and seats, The original owner took delivery from Lexus of Westminster in California and parked it inside of a climate-controlled garage, keeping it pristine for the future – which has apparently come.

On top of the immaculate care that it has enjoyed over the years, this Lexus LFA is also quite rare – not only as number 188 of 500 produced in total – but also one of just 27 U.S.-market non-Nürburgring Package cars finished in Whitest White. That exterior hue is accented by a set of dark premium alloy wheels covering red carbon-ceramic brake calipers.

Inside the cabin, the black upper dash provides a little bit of contrast with a mixture of red leather on the instrument panel, door panels, center console, and lower dash, while the seats and steering wheel are finished in white, just like the outside, and there’s also plenty of high-gloss carbon fiber and anodized titanium trim to boot. Power, of course, comes from the now-famous 4.8-liter V10 that churns out 552 horsepower and revs to the sky.

While the LFA has become a far more common site at fine collector car auctions these days, we certainly don’t see ones with this few miles – nor the original interior plastic intact – very often, if ever. Coupled with rising interest from collectors with deep pockets, we wouldn’t be surprised to see this fine example reach its auction estimate of $700k-$900k, or perhaps even exceed it when the hammer falls next month.
