2020 had a lot of downs more than ups. For Lexus fans, though, there were enough moments to overcome the darkness from this year.
What’s there to say about 2020? We know it’ll still be with us until some time in 2021. Certainly the worst way to start a new decade, though, perhaps, it’ll be like what they say about March: in like a lion, out like a lamb. And yet, Lexus fans did have a few things to celebrate (and, yes, mourn) in this horrible year.
Thus, these are the 10 moments which defined Lexus in the Year of Our Corona 2020.
The GS Leaves the Building
In 1993, the GS joined the ES, SC and LS as the fourth overall model of the growing Lexus lineup on the brand’s fifth anniversary. Four generations later, the last GS left the factory in August 2020. In that time, the midsize sedan took part in endurance racing, made debuts at Pebble Beach and the Detroit Auto Show, and once had its style penned by none other than Giorgetto Giugiario of Italdesign. Now, it goes on its “eternal tour” upon the roads of history.
