Right now, there are only two RC models with the most performance possible: the RC F and RC F Fuji Speedway Edition. As we mentioned in June, however, the current RC F needs more performance (like a twin-turbo V8, perhaps?). Should RC F fans get their wish, it could open the doors for an RC 500 F Sport Performance.
Some de-contenting of the RC F could occur to balance track performance with improved street manners, for starters. Pricing, too, would need to fit between the standard RC/RC F Sport and RC F. An RC 500 F Sport Performance could slot right in around $55,000 to $60,000 to start (the RC starts at $42,220, the RC F at $65,975). Then, go full tilt with improved infotainment (no trackpad, please), adjustable suspension and exhaust, sportier leather front seats, and more.
