Top 5 Lexus Cars of the 2000s
4. Lexus LX
Lexus borrowed the Toyota Land Cruiser in 1995, slapping some Lexus badges on it with slightly different trim. The LX 470 was the first Lexus Land Cruiser that looked distinctly different from the Toyota version. Best of all, it maintained all of the Land Cruiser’s rugged, go-anywhere, overland capability while offering Lexus refinement. In 2008, the LX 570 debuted before the revised Land Cruiser, looking nothing like its Toyota sibling. Far from Lexus’ best-selling model, LX sales have remained steady over the years. It’s done well enough that when Toyota stopped importing the Land Cruiser to the U.S., they kept sending us the LX, which is the better of the two SUVs.
