4. Lexus GS F

2018 Lexus GS F

The GS was always something of a stepchild in the Lexus lineup. The larger LS outsold it almost two to one. The IS muscled in on its market share. When the new model launched in 2011, it didn’t exactly set the world on fire. So Lexus doubled down and dropped the 5.0 V8 engine in it. This V8 makes everything better.  And it did wonders for the GS.

Car & Driver said in its 2020 road test, “The GS F is a unique blend of athleticism, luxury, and style for drivers who want something different.” Too bad not enough drivers wanted something different. Lexus canceled the GS after 2020. However, I think it’s a great car and will eventually be collectible.
