By 2010 the writing was on the wall for the coupe market. New two-door car sales dwindled as people bought sedans and crossovers. But for some reason, Lexus decided to drop a coupe in the middle of its lineup. We are better for it.

In addition to a 467-hp version of the Lexus V8, the RC has a trick differential. It uses torque vectoring to maximize stability and provide traction control and rear-wheel steering. Some detractors say it’s too heavy. I say drive it.
