Top 5 Lexus Cars Of The Future

1. Lexus Electrified Sport

The Lexus LFA’s electric successor is no secret. In fact, we recently learned it will be called the LFR. Here’s what we also know – it’s going to be incredible!

Lexus wants to get the LFR right. Not just because it’s the LFA’s successor but because it’s the flagship for the company’s electrified future. The LFR needs more than sleek bodywork. It needs more than blistering performance, which Lexus expects will include a 0 to 60 mph time in the two-second range. And, for the love of all that’s holy and its V10 predecessor, it needs more than Muzak engine noises.

I think they are on the right track, and not just because of the company’s deliberate approach. Lexus has hinted at the possibility of a new type of manual gearbox. Koji Sato, Lexus’ president, said as much last summer in an interview with Top Gear. He wants better engagement between the car and its driver, saying, “I love cars and want something different.”
