No Waiting: Toyota and Lexus Vehicles Available Now!

Lexus NX

The last couple of years have been tough on anyone hoping to buy a new Toyota or Lexus. If you are looking at a hot new model such as a GR Corolla forget about it. You can’t find them without large dealer markups. But all hope is not lost. There are now some Toyota and Lexus models that are available on dealership lots. It may not be like the days before covid. But at least you can see an actual car or truck on the lot now. To view the full list of vehicles that you should be able to find click HERE.

Must-Watch Video: 2023 Lexus Racing IS500 Debut

This video is short but sweet. At the Daytona 24 hours race last weekend a Lexus Racing IS500 was on display. Besides the custom wrap the car sports a lovely set of BBS wheels to help set it apart. The car looks fantastic. We can only imagine how much fun it would be to push it around the historic Daytona track. For now, all we can do is watch the video and dream.

Thread of the Week: GS 350 Luxury vs F Sport

Lexus Refined

A member is on the cusp of buying a 2015 Lexus GS 350. He has narrowed his choice down to two specific cars. One has the Luxury Package and the other the F Sport Package. Price and mileage are basically the same. So, which one should he go for?  Is the F Sport going to be too harsh to live with? Are the extra features in the Luxury Package worth it? Ultimately the poster should by both and decide. But if you want to help out or see what others are saying on the topic you can see the thread by clicking HERE.

Toyota President Akio Toyota Steps Down

Toyota Steps down

Toyota’s chief executive will step down as head of the company his grandfather founded. He will become chairman of the board. Chief branding officer and president of Lexus Koji Sato will take over Toyota effective April 1. Pressure for Akio Toyoda to step down was due to his reluctance to embrace all-electric vehicles. It remains to be seen if the company will now make that a focus with Sato at the helm. The full story was reported by Reuters and can be read by clicking HERE.

Must-Watch Video: King Brothers Toyota Overstock Sale-a-Thon

Now for something on the lighter side. Saturday Night Live recently did a sketch about the fictional King Brothers Toyota dealership. It turns out the spot was really more about the popular Raising Cane’s chicken than anything to do with Toyota or Lexus. But it is funny and always interesting to see a Toyota dealer as the center of attention on the legendary comedy show.

Lexus RX Flying Barrel Roll Reminds Motorists to Move Over

RX crash

And now for something not so funny. January in the state of Florida is known as ‘Move Over Month’ and it is a reminder for motorists to move into an adjacent lane when approaching stopped emergency vehicles. To drive home the point a video is shown of a Lexus RX that doesn’t move over and is launched through the air as it drives up the ramp of a tow truck. Thankfully everyone on the scene including the Lexus driver survived. But it could have been a whole lot worse. Carscoops has the story HERE.
