aftermarket wheels

One of the best ways to get your Lexus to stick out from the crowd is by slapping on a new pair of shoes. But there sure are a lot of options out there, so how do you even go about deciding which aftermarket wheels are the right ones for you? Well, that’s what we’re here for.

Today’s How-To Tuesday article gives you a step-by-step guide to shopping for the perfect aftermarket wheels for your Lexus. Though the article specifically applies to IS, ES, GS, and RX models between 2005 and 2013, the information should be applicable to most other models too.

The first step to getting the right aftermarket wheel is to figure out why you want new wheels in the first place. Are you racing your Lexus? What kind of racing? Do you want something just for the car shows? Or do you just want to replace the rundown wheels you’re currently rocking? Depending on your needs, you’ll be looking for different wheels.

After you’ve decided what kind of wheels you’re looking for, you need to figure out what size you’ve currently got, and what size you’ll be needing. And you’ll have to determine how much space you’ve got, in case you want an oversize rim/tire combo.

And then the real research begins.

It sounds like a lot, I know. But rest assured, today’s How-To Tuesday will be with you every step of the way. And just think, once you’re done with the project, you can post up all the pretty pics on Club Lexus and get all sorts of compliments from your fellow members. So hop to!
