Do you hate amber, despite the color’s patriotic importance in the waves of grain department? Does amber’s presence in your taillights especially irk you? Then today’s How-To Tuesday article is here to help.

I, for one, have never had a problem with amber in my taillights, as I generally never see my taillights lit up. But like all mods, it’s up to you. And if you feel like all-red taillights will help your Lexus shine, then I want to help you get that look. Also, according to the article’s writer, this easy little DIY will help you get a more “Americanized” look. So it’s kind of my patriotic duty to help you achieve it.

Here’s the materials you’ll need, which you should be able to gather for around $20: Scissors, exacto knife, straight edge, ruler or tape measure, bucket of water, soap, squeegee, hair dryer, contact paper, and red vinyl.

After you’ve assembled the parts, it’s just a matter of cleaning, measuring, cutting, adhering, and trimming. It shouldn’t take you more than an hour, and the article walks you through all the steps.

Just think, not only will your Lexus have a unique and personalized look, but you’ll also be a better American for your effort.
