Will.i.Am’s Customized NX F SPORT Unveiled in Paris
Last night, Will.i.Am unveiled his customized Lexus NX F SPORT in Paris. Now, I realize there’s not a lot of love for the Black Eyed Peas member on ClubLexus. And when I say “not a lot of love” I really mean, “fanatical, unadulterated hatred.”
At least that’s the overall vibe I got when I posted this thread asking whether his version of the NX would be a triumph or a train wreck. OK, so maybe there was one cautiously optimistic person on the thread–but you get my point. And after looking at the final product, that might have been the right attitude. Keep in mind, this is coming from the perspective of a dude whose introduction to Will.i.Am was immediately followed by a profanity-laced tirade about why, exactly, his shitty band was playing the Super Bowl, and who was further dismayed by the pop star’s customized DeLorean.
That said, I really like the European NX ad campaign he’s featured in, and, for serious, think his NX looks pretty cool. I think the fender flares really jive with the bold lines of the vehicle–the profile looks sick. And I’m particularly impressed by the carbon accents on the seatbacks. So overall? I think this concept works.
