YouTuber Gives Mom “December to Remember” at the Lexus Dealer
Ethan Fineshriber and his mom visit their nearest Lexus dealer to buy a new car, but his mom didn’t know he was going to make the payments.
We’re only a few more days until Christmas rolls up to the driveway in a Lexus! There may even be a few with big red bows on the hood nestled next to the tree outside. After all, this is always a “December to Remember” for Lexus fans around the world, from those who celebrate the LFA’s birthday, to those looking at their first Lexus in the showroom.
Speaking of showrooms, though, YouTuber Ethan Fineshriber and his mom recently visited their nearest Lexus dealer in Salt Lake City to buy a car or two. However, Fineshriber had a special surprise in mind within the finance department.
“They’ve got a used GS,” said Mrs. Fineshriber. “I think it’s really kinda cool. Then, there’s an ES hybrid that looks pretty cool.”
The two options in question are a 2013 GS 350 AWD (which her son can’t believe is seven years old), and a 2016 ES300h (which she likes because she’s an ES fan to start). Ethan believes his mom should get the GS, and would get it for himself if it were in his price range. And since the GS line’s discontinuation in August, she can own a piece of history, too.
“I enjoyed driving this car quite a bit more than the other one,” said Ethan of the ES. “The sensitivity was less than the other one, which I actually like. This one has a lot of features that I’m used to. Yet, it has some newer features all at the same time. If I was willing to buy something in the price range that this is in, I would probably want this for my car.”
Meanwhile, Mrs. Fineshriber can’t decide between the GS or the ES, as both have her heart. Ethan loves the way ES handles, but also loves the way the GS looks. Luckily, he doesn’t have to decide what to buy today. Nor does his mom have to pay for whatever Lexus she buys.
“Yes, I know how much it is,” Ethan said upon revealing his surprise, “but you’re my mother. You have done more than enough for me. So, it’s time I give back.”
Like the door sill of her new-to-her GS, Mrs. Fineshriber lit up with tears of joy upon her son’s generosity. It’s definitely a “December to Remember” for these two, and then some.
