Come See New '06 Is In Person Tomorrow 9/7/2005!!!!
Hey everyone,
I know this is last minute, but Lexus of Glendale is going to have the new IS at our dealership tomorrow morning around 9 am.
If you are interested in seeing it up close and personal, please stop by our dealership.
**NO test drives, viewing only**
The car will be here for a limited time as it is making a tour of all dealers, so try to come as close to 9 am as possible.
I don't know if it's a 250 or 350, nor do I know the color.
We will have sales staff here to answer any questions you may have.
Any questions, please let me know.
See you guys tomorrow!

No I don't, I only know it will be at Lexus of Glendale tomorrow morning! Why don't you come by here?
I think the car already made the rounds at most of local Lexus dealers, but I'm not sure on this.

Phillip31: There have been other people seeing the car at a dealer, then coming home to post "I saw the new IS today", but it's too late. The IS is guaranteed to be in Glendale tomorrow, you won't be disappointed!

So...I made it to Glendale. First off, this thing is way smaller inside than my '04 Acura TL, which sucks. The fit & finish left much to be desired, but this was clearly marked as a prototype. The marketing rep from corporate advised that there will be no Mark Levinson in the U.S. This will be the case for the initial cars, and likely will be the case for the entire run of this generation. Both Park Assist and Mark Levinson will be custom order options only.
Overally, I really like the look. As everyone else has said, you really need to see it in person to appreciate it. The dasboard lighting was great, and I played with the navi, which rocked as well. It is definately not much more than a baby GS, but, in my opinion, that is not a bad thing. The dasboard lighting was great, and I played with the navi, which rocked as well.
One last thing...pricing. The marketing rep said that a fully loaded 350 w/o Mark Levinson or Park Assist will be about $44K or so. He pegged the 250 at $35K "the way we will build and release them". Basically, they will start off a lot cheaper than $35, but Lexus US won't be building many (if any) of those.
The car is gone before noon, so hurry and see it.
