Default 2007 Es 350 (hi-res pics begin on pg. 27)

I saw pictures of the 2007 ES 350 at a Lexus dealership today. The car is nice. The headlights look like the 2006 IS's, but they are "smoother" looking and it has round fog lights. IMHO the new ES looks better than the 2006 IS, but not the 2006 GS ( the GS is my baby so no car is better looking than it ). The new ES looks similar to the 5th car down ( the one with the palm trees in the back ) in this thread ( https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...5&page=6&pp=15 ), but with round fog lights. Take care.

P.S. - It's weird, the "s" in the "Es" in the title won't capitalize.

Yeah, that's the one. Lexus is really delivering awesome looking cars with this L-Finesse philosophy.

I saw the pics also at the Lexus dealership. An ultra luxury package with a full glass roof will be included. The car looks very sporty...sales guy say it will be a few tenths of a second faster 0-60 also.

He also said the new LS has an 8 speed transmission. Choices, choices.

No, the ES has a 6spd auto. If the new ES has better handling, close to a 5AT Acura TL (it wouldn't be that hard for Toyota to do), then we may get one.

Cool

The ES will never have good handling because the Camry doesn't have good handling.
It's nothing but body roll, float & massive understeer.

Fair enough.....it's not considered a serious sports sedan to begin with......it's not the ES's speciality.

Cool

I know! Besides, if someone loves the car, but wants better handling, they can spend a couple hundred on a rear sway bar, possibly a front sway bar, and drop $500-1800 on suspension upgrades.
It's a win-win sintuation. If you don't like the handling, buy something else, if you ahve to ahve this car - that's what aftermarket parts are for. To fix the car to perfectly suit you!

It looks like the party is over, at least until the "official" intro on February 8th.

Does Lexus have the authority to shut down a forum here?

Nah. Freedom of press is a constitutional right. Plus, they'd have to shut down everywhere these photos came from, which would be near impossible.

Hey, if the Paparazzi can get away with trespassing, etc...

Humm I dunno... that's kinda weird. It's kept under wraps for now I suppose.

Lexus has done an insane job with covering up this new vehicle. We know so little about it and yet it's so close to release. I don't really want another ES, but from what I've seen so far, a black one might be in the works... ugh I need something sportier

what about the ES pics at autospies.com? Lexus doesn't have any say there, does it? Then the pics are still available for everyone to see...
