What are the exact measurements of the trunk key hole?
I want to get a keyhole backup camera and the one I may get has the dimensions as shown in the picture below.
I need to know if this one is the right size or if I need to get a camera that is smaller in diameter.
Here are the dimensions of the second smaller keyhole camera:

Hameed, long time no talk....hope you and your family are well!
Concerning the back-up camera, I know that member LexBox just did this mod recently. I think he may have pm'ed me the exact model # of the camera he used. Let me search...
edit - check your PM...there is a link that may help and may save you some $$$$

Actually I have looked at that specific model of camera and it does not appear to be a CCD camera (which displays a better quality picture) and the lens is 1/4 inch.
The good thing however is that looking at that one in particular has given me the dimensions of the diameter which is 27 mm approximately.
There are better backup cameras out there that are CCD based and have a slightly bigger lens 1/3 inch (hence a better quality picture) rather than 1/4 inch.
Here is one http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=8063186705
CCD info
CCD stands for charge-coupled device. CCD is a very sensitive electronic device that is revolutionizing astronomy in the 1990s. CCD cameras are composed of silicon chips that are sensitive to light, changing detected photons of light into electronic signals that can then be used to make images. When a picture is taken, the CCD is struck by light coming through the camera's lens. Each of the thousands or millions of tiny pixels that make up the CCD convert this light into electrons. The number of electrons, usually described as the pixel's accumulated charge, is measured, then converted to a digital value.

I do.. i have a rear view camera.. but i busted it.. lol..
u gotta remove that cover in the trunk lid and theres a few screws/bolts u need to take off.. u can figure it out by just looking at it. Mounting the camera., without cutting metal, . now thats another obstacle..

I've seen people install cameras in the keyhole before, but for some reason it's angle is straight and not downwards like the factory. Or even if it's angled down, you don't see the rear bumper for your point of reference.
