WTT: Your OEM Diff for LSD with 4.1:1 gearing
My car got into an accident last week and insurance will be picking up the car soon.
I bought the Torsen T-2 LSD unit used off ebay from a 2002 IS300 with ~65k miles. When my shop inspected it, the pinion and ring gears had typical wear.
I bought a new 4.1:1 gearset from Weir Performance, and had it installed at Lextech in Silver Lake.
Costs for each were $600 for the LSD unit, $450 for the gearset, and $800 for install.
It has approximately 12k miles on it and has had one diff fluid change. Every 10k miles it needs to be replaced.
I'm giving it away. You just have to help arrange for the swap. I'd hate to see this get tossed in the junkyard.
This is a steal, over $1850 invested, that I would like to put in the hands of someone who will use this.
Someone asked me if I was willing to cover the labor cost to remove it myself. The cost to do so is so prohibitive, I'd rather leave it in the car than sell it to some people.

I'm located near LA. The car is right now at C&C Collision in Alhambra. You will have to pay the labor costs for the swap. The shop estimated it may be as much as $1000 since they will have to remove the differential in your car, remove lsd from my car, install lsd in your car, and install your diff in my car.

The body shop it's at won't let people swap diff pumpkins on stands at their shop, and their lifts were busy the whole time I was there.
I wish I posted this in the 1is classifieds sooner.
Unfortunately no one wanted to pay the cost of labor, and I would just dig myself in a deeper hole if I removed it myself since all the offers I was getting were jokingly low.
The lsd is in the car and will go to an auction.

Damn I would totally do the labor for you, but I'm not gonna pay that much in labor to have someone swap it for me, if we can get your car and mine on a lift it will take like 1 hour or so to swap it over its easy.....only reason I say that is cause done it before...to bad you can't tow it to the Lexus dealership I work at I would do it for you.
