Just got back from a month-long project with a nice fat check in hand and was thinking I want to get an exhaust for my IS350 ... something with a nice rumble but not too obnoxious. I've heard the various clips people have posted but really want to hear them in person both outside and in-car to make my final decision. Both the HKS (non Lexus) and Tanabe sound like they would fit the bill and aren't priced through the roof, I would also consider the Borla but I don't want any emissions/smog related hassles further down the road and I hear the street version is pretty compromised.

Anyways if anyone local to the Bay Area has the HKS or Tanabe exhausts and would be willing to meet up with me I would love to check out your cars and hear them live. I am on a week's vacation so I could meet up anytime next week during the day or after work somewhere, just let me know. Also any recommendations on local shops to buy through and do the install would be appreciated. I live in Fremont but willing to drive anywhere in the Bay for a good deal. Thanks!

I live in Fremont with a is350 with tanabe exhaust. If your in southbay anytime I work in Santa Clara, right across from Great America. Whichever is more convenient for you.

cool, let's set up something either after work for you or mid-day in Santa Clara if you have a time you can pull away from work, I can do it anytime next week. If someone with an HKS or other exhaust can make it too all of us sitting on the fence can really make an informed decision! Thanks let me know what works for you.

I've got a pretty full schedule but if the timing works and you'd also like to hear the LMS, let me know. Not going to be one of those modifcations that you want if you're concerned about the smog/emissions aspect, but it's always fun to compare

I love to hear these exhaust too, but I'm from Sac. It's a 2 hours drive. Can't do it for now.

Maybe someone from Sac has the tanabe or HKS.
