If the 335i beats the RS4, what happens with the new M3?
Here's where they are discussing how it beat the M Coupe

Between the two, you’d expect the 335i to be more supple over bumps, have vastly more interior room, and be as refined as a Lexus. But what floored us was that the 335i’s best lap (3:10.5) was 1.2 seconds quicker than the M coupe’s. It’s a case of neutral handling over outright speed. Whereas the M coupe had understeer at turn-in that switched to oversteer at the exit, the 335i was nearly perfectly balanced everywhere and made up most of its time in the region between the braking zone and turn apex. The 335i does everything remarkably well, which is why many of us at Car and Driver think it’s the best all-around car in the world..

Well even I can admit C&D has a total thing for bimmers. I can also say that on most tracks an RS4 will easily outrun a stock 335i just by virtue of it's straight line speed. Still, it is nice to see a test where they mention the tossabilty of the car.
Other results were interesting too, like the Z4m (you would think it's low weight and awesome chassis would get it a better time), and the GT500.

Perhaps the title should be changed to:
C&D Magazine 08/07 - The Lightning Lap - IS350 beats RS4
One would think it is the second coming of Christ if CD had this headline
Drive the 335 for yourselves to evaluate.. The Ultimate Drive is making its rounds across the country...Check here for dates in your area http://www.bmwusa.com/BMW2003/Templa...ACHEHINT=Guest It is free..Just show up to the event like my buddy Och. Once you have driven the car, then you can truly give your two cents.

In the G37 vs 335 thread, I said my 2 cents. The 335 might just be the best all around car (sedan) in the road. I think it is a fabulous car.
Don't expect the world to think what you think or what C&D thinks. People will have their opinions and will continue to have them here.

EV ftw!!!
There are tons of dealers all over the GTA (Greater Toronto Area). There is huge one less than 5 mins from my home in Oakville - Budd's BMW - in fact they own the Jaguar, Volvo, Land Rover dealers too all on the same road.

Realistically, everybody needs to take the good with the bad. I'm amazed how people quickly discount the opinions of these writers. This is what they do for a living, they do have credentials. Somehow I think somebody, somewhere has a huge chart listing the positive and negative reviews of their favorite auto manufacturer and keep score.. the one that skews to their favor gets credibility.
