SELLING GS400 TRD LSD (Limited Slip Differential)
“Never Installed” – by that, I mean that it got bolted to my ring gear - but before actually installing back in the car, the mechanic learned that it would take 2 days to get shims. Neither of the local Lexus dealers stock them because rear ends just don’t go out. Not wanting to leave the car on a lift for two more days, I told them to reinstall the original diff and button it back up. I thought that I’d take it to Austin and have JacobT’s guy install, but never did. Jacob’s guy didn’t think that it needed shimming but my guy wouldn’t guarantee installation unless the lash was exact – which usually requires shimming. Installation would have been about $200.00.
So, it’s back in the original box and still new since it’s never actually been installed in the car.
I’ll sell it for $700.00 shipped (it is HEAVY) or give a discount to someone in the area who will pick it up.
PM me if you’re interested.

Thanks Sick. I haven't been posting lately - been up to my **** - but have occasionally lurked. What's with your car? I'm still bummed about your accident. Last I saw you were getting a reasonable settlement. Got anything new yet?
BTW, I've received pms I haven't responded to yet (will shortly) and it is probably sold.

Garnet,
Too bad you did not make a trip down to Austin. I can have my gus installe it for you for around $400. It took him only 4 hours to install mine with no problem. He's experienced and did some other similar jobs before.
The clutch type can handle more HP while keep the same gear ratio. I really like it. For $700, it''s a steal!

Can anybody shed some more light in terms of performance between this one and the Torsen model? Is there any difference in the way the car reacts? I am assuming there is some difference since the gear ratios are different. Thanks.
