Thanks. I think I'm pretty much screwed. I am the second owner of a 1998 GS4. When I bought the car, I was so impressed with the condition that I didn't take a close look (I mean a really close look) at the design of the spoiler. Apparently, there were two designs. Yours is the one that came from the factory, but when Lexus installed the spoiler aftermarket, there were two designs -- yours and the one on my car. Unlike yours, mine sits lower on the trunk and does not extend past the edge of the trunk lines. See picture below. Anyway, if the mounting holes line up, I would just buy yours, have it painted, and swap it out. I think there's a pretty good chance that the holes won't line up. Yours mounts at the very edge of each side of the trunk. Mine is mounted about 4 inches in on each side. I'll have a set of 4 extra holes in my trunk that won't be covered up by the spoiler.

Can installing a spoiler be a DIY job, or should it be done professionally?

How much do you think an install would be?

lexforlife, can you post pics of the spoiler?

Thanks,
Cadd
