Question An Option

Z - If he doesn't want to swap ( which would be the best solution for both of ya! ), just make yours clear. Remove the entire fog light assembly & use a long, thin screwdriver to break the yellow shroud over the bulb. That's what gives it the yellow color - it's NOT a yellow bulb itself. Real simple & FREE mod to do but be prepared for more idiots to flash their brights at ya, especially those which don't understand that HID lights R just naturally brighter & whiter!!

MG,
Sounds like a good tip. (I have the gs3 and prefer the white light) But, I have 2 questions:
1) Are the fog lights HID?
2) By removing the shroud, will the fog lights throw and /or deflect more light upward?

Default yellow or white.

the sleeve does nothing but give the bulb the yellow color.

If you want yellow fog lights and you have clear ones may I suggest getting some 9006 65 watt yellow ion bulbs.

I am pretty sure you can get them off the net.
plus they are better looking than the factory sleeves color.

I might change my high beam to yellow 9005 soon.

also they fogs are not HID, even though many people have retrofitted HID into the fog assembly.

Smile Good Answers!

AG - That's what I like about this site - lots of members willing to help fellow Lexus owners!! GS4's answers R right on the money. Nope, they're not HID's nor will breaking the sleeve alter the light pattern. I changed my bulbs out to the Polarg 65W 9006 Super Whites while I was at it & also use the Polarg 100W 9005's in my highs. I got mine from www.nextcollection.com but I'm sure there R other sites that carry them. Good luck!

Sorry.. but I don't have the clears to trade. It sounds like a good idea, only if I had them.

GS400TRD :
How close will the 9006, 65 yellow ion bulbs be to the factory yellow fog lights? Will it be brighter or better in your opinion? Is the the same tone of yellow?
Any particular brand name u have in mind?

I was thinking of buying some yellow fog lights but if you guys think the 9006 yellow is better, I'll try that then.

Thanks for the inputs

I think it looks better and brighter...
I think eurolite makes them...and they run about $30/pair...better than $250 for a new set of lenses.

here are a few links that I have found:
http://shop.sportruck.com/lights/bulbs/
http://www.accessconnect.com/blueand.htm
http://www.htnews.com/comptltd/parts.html

and last but not least...
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/aw-cg...878723&r=0&t=0

take care

Default yellow fog lights

Anyone have a picture of the fog lights with the eurolite bulbs in them?

Do the bulbs run hotter than the stock bulbs? If so, then won't it melt the plastic around it?

Thanks,

Default ATTENTION !

Hey guys, I just bought this yellow fog lights called MAX GOLD. Its phenemonal! The color is outstanding and the yellow looks twice as bright as if I would have the original yellow housing for it. I would recommend this to anyone who has clear fog lights but got bored or wants a change, to buy MAX GOLD.
